Can You Get Pregnant if You Have Gonorrhea?

Gonorrhea if left untreated can eventually lead to serious complications such as infertility in both men and women. Women with gonorrheal infections before and during a pregnancy are at higher risk for pregnancy complications. Especially if gonorrhea is present during pregnancy the risk for miscarriage, amniotic sac infections and premature birth increases significantly. If treatment is sought promptly the risk for these complications can be significantly reduced.
